Family concert "The Super Volcano - A Musical Earth History"

The world of Prof. Dr. Two stones - widely traveled experts in volcanology - will one day be turned upside down. This is due to a small stone that takes her on an exciting and crazy-funny journey across the different geological ages. It quickly becomes clear that even the smallest stone can tell a big story, which has more to do with us than we think ...

"The Supervolcano - A Musical Earth History" is a musical and scenic concert program of the Saxon Wind Philharmonic Orchestra that will inspire children and teenagers aged between 6 and 14 to develop geological history. Not only the little concert goers, but also parents, grandparents, aunts , Uncles and teachers will be amazed when Prof. Dr. Zweistein tells how the region in which they live actually came into being.

After the great success of the commissioned production "Florentine Apple Blossom", the Berlin composer Matthias Preisinger was again commissioned by the Saxon Wind Philharmonic to implement this children's project. The geological background to the musical history was provided by the scientist Dr. Annett Krüger and the high school teacher and textbook author Dr. Wolfgang Gerber. The two young actresses Jennifer Demmel and Christine Steuber from Leipzig have dramaturgically dealt with the theoretical content and prepared it for the target group.
